LITURGY GROUP

St Michael’s has a thriving Liturgy Group. It forms the bedrock of the faith community’s worship and prayer. It is committed to enlivening parish life for all with meaningful celebration most especially around the key points of the liturgical cycle including: The Season of Creation, November Anniversary masses, Advent and Christmas, St Brigid’s Day, St Patrick’s day, Lent and Easter, etc.

The group meets on the last Thursday of each month at 52B Bulfin rd ( more recently due to Coronavirus by Zoom or in the church). Newcomers welcome!

For further information contact the Liturgy Group Chairperson Anne O’Brien.

Lay Led Liturgy
The community is committed to the inclusion of lay people at all levels of parish life. Each Wednesday at 10am the lay community celebrate a liturgy of Word and Communion in St Michael’s church. The group continues to endeavour to expand its ministry in creative ways. If you are interested in joining this ministry please contact facilitator, Brid Beggan.

Children’s liturgy
Each Sunday the Family Mass at 11am offers a space for the children of the community (under 12) to safely learn and respond artistically to the Word of God. Staff are trained in child ministry. Child safeguarding regulations are strictly adhered to at all times.

The Children of the community are also offered an opportunity by way of drama and reading to participate in a special way in our Christmas and Easter liturgies.

Currently, due to the coronavirus Children’s Liturgy is suspended.
