Baptisms

Baptisms are celebrated on the 1^st Sunday of each month at 12 o’clock A minimum of 2 months notice for Baptism is required. The Baptism Preparation Programme commences once parents have made contact with the Parish Office. A member of the Baptism team will first contact the parents/guardians to arrange a suitable time for a meeting of introduction.  A Baptism preparation meeting will follow: this takes place of an evening in the presbytery. It is most important that parents/guardians are present at this meeting. The ceremony of Baptism takes place over 2 Sunday’s. There will be a special ‘Welcoming Ceremony’ on the Sunday prior to the baptism where the parents and child will be welcomed into the parish community. On the following Sunday, the child will receive the sacrament of Baptism.
